Stormy Weekend Beach Family Session and Senior Session at Gray’s Beach

We had an amazing time photographing this family’s session and their eldest sons senior session. The family knows how to let loose and as a result they had at great time for their session at Gray’s Beach in Kingston MA which is located in the South Shore of Boston! We were watching Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Jose and while it had cleared up just in time for the weekend and we ended up beautiful dry and hot temperatures for their session and had a great time! We had an amazing time together and the young men had a great time arm wrestling their father and we featured this oldest playing soccer for his High school senior portraits.  Because who says picture taking has to be boring??? Not me! I just love it when families play together, and I get to capture it!! Thanks for a great time!

As a South Shore family and Senior Photographer some of my favorite beach locations include Gray’s Beach in Kingston MA, Rexhame Beach and South River in Marshfield, Duxbury Beach In Duxbury, Nantasket Beach in Hull and Quincy Shore Drive in Quincy MA Castle Island has a nice sandy beach space as well as the Blue Hills Reservation. There are plenty of Beautiful Beach locations in and around the Boston area so the sky is the limit when it comes to selecting a beach location.

When it comes to selecting clothing for beach portrait sessions vibrant colors that add pops of color always look great. Pastel as well as Jewel color tones make for beautiful clothing for beach portraits though I always encourage the women to put on something flowy that will show movement of the wind at the beach. Theres something about the movement of the water and the outfits that adds a great interest.

End of Summer is a great time to have family beach portraits taken as this is a time when the busy beach season is unwinding and theres less human traffic which means the family can have a great time with uninterrupted time from human traffic. September is a great time to have senior portraits before the prospective senior gets busy with all the things that high school seniors do on their final year. Its also a great time to have the family portraits updated and get holiday cards in motion.
